my name is [ . leonardo . ] Missy Pxnk. i’m a chicago-area based dj with hopes of branching out to creating music

i like to dj various genres [ . breakbeat | footwork | bootlegs . ] at high speed tempos, i don’t like to stay in one place. i take various inspirations from dj’s such as [ . Machine Girl . ] DjChaoticUgly, yesterdayneverhappened, and Manapool. there are more such as those within the chicago scene itself that inspire me to push myself more

i have been dj’ing since the start of 2022. i didn’t try to take it a little seriously until the middle of 2023 after i found my signature sound + style. i have since played a few shows in chicago and hope to do more in the future // with like minded individuals who care deeply about the communities they lead. i currently dj with a DDJ1000 and prefer Rekordbox

i have zero tolerance for [ . racism | SAbuse | nationalism | fakes . ]bull[shit]. i will always try my best to call out and be a platform for others if needed

there are ideas i’d like to have in motion to help achieve certain goals. but i am in no rush, the journey is what matters most. good things come to those who wait. and genuine feelings attract others with similar mindsets and ambitions

i began to work on my website project after being inspired by seeing other websites on Neocities. [truthfully] i hate
[ . instagram | Xhitter | TikTok . ] modern social medias with a passion. they strip us away of real, genuine personality and [[[manufacture]]] us into products for advertisers+content [ . ] they are designed to invoke strong emotional responses in us in order to hook us in, so you can doom scroll for hours [ . ] the nature of the old web is lost among many [ . ] but i’m hoping that with this project, it can inspire others within the chicago scene to join me in the indie web movement.

i am [Mexican~American] nonbinary and {currently} 23 years old. i enjoy listening to music + crate digging on soundcloud + bandcamp. i try to buy at least 80% of my music to support the artists music i play. my favorite animals are [ axolotl | jellyfish | pufferfish ] aquatic
